This kit is compatible with the official card from the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL). If you (or someone you love!) relies on Braille for written documents, this will allow everyone to play American mahjong together, as standardized by the League.

  Designed to print mirrored so any sighted helper can emboss Braille using a stylus and slate by following the provided pattern.

  A reference guide for teachers, family members, or playing partners to understand how the Braille-coded system corresponds to the official NMJL card. Especially helpful when introducing a new Braille-reader to American mahjong.
• 3D Printable Braille Mahjong Tile Files (FREE Bonus)
  Includes STL/3MF files to print your own Braille mahjong tiles at home if you have access to a 3D printer — these are fully playable and accessible even if printed in a single color filament, or you can use an AMS-enabled 3D printer to make the tiles even more playable for sighted players, including those with low vision or macular degeneration.

Necessary Supplies / Equipment:

You will need to purchase the following supplies separately:

• Braille Stylus + Slate
  A 28-cell-per-line slate and stylus is required for embossing the card. We used this slate/stylus from Amazon (ASIN B0FBFFGWXS).
• Cardstock (160gsm or heavier recommended)
  Approximately 8 sheets for printing and assembling the card.
• 3D Printer and standard PLA filament in any color(s)

  Adhesive Braille Labels for Mahjong Tiles (optional alternative to 3D printing)
  To convert an existing mahjong tile set, you’ll need Braille labels using the following symbols:
